Kootamo Ultralight Carabiners as a 2-pack set are very light carabiners, perhaps the lightest in the world, but at the same time very durable and excellent for hammock use for example. One carabiner weighs only a mere 21g, but the breaking strength of 12 kilonewton tells its own story, 12kN is 1200kg! Here a ready 2-pack set for any hammock suspension system!Most of the carabiners for hammocks are made around 5kN strenght, so here comes more than double the assurance for proper attachments. Kootamo Ultralight Carabiners are made of high-quality aluminum and thanks to their specific design form, they can withstand extreme stresses, even though they are feather light as such. The dimensions of each carabiner is about 8 x 4.7cm and the design of the carabiner is made so that it is easy to handle even with gloves in hand. Easy to setup with tree huggers and such, the carabiner shape makes it allmost impossible to get any pinch points where strings could be stuck or any other problems with the hammock suspension system.
The opening of the carabiner gate is 20 mm long, which is excellent for hammocking, but also for many other scenarios where you might need a strong ultralight karabiner. Kootamo Ultralight Carabiners are originally designed for hammocks and their attachments, but you can come up with other use cases by yourself. Cannot be used for climbing!
