Hard-wearing cast iron pots from Origin Outdoors are made in Germany and are really competent cooking tools for slow simmering and preparing pot dishes. The name "Grapen" is one of the original names for this style of cooking device (engl. "Pipkin"), but nowadays everyone generally recognizes them by the name of Dutch Oven. An ideal pot for outdoor cooking - and directly on the campfire or hung above the campfire.

You can place the cast iron pan directly on the campfire to cook, or you can set it to hang above the campfire. Cast iron pans have very good thermal conductivity, they stay hot longer and cook food evenly. There are many ways to use it: slow simmering, boiling, roasting, frying, and hey, with this you can also make extremely easy and delicious Dutch Oven Bread!

There is a small hole between the lid and the pot, where you can put a wired thermometer inside the pot. So, if necessary, you can also monitor the cooking inside the pot with the help of a thermometer. The lid can also be used separately and as such, because it has a grilling surface on the wrong side - throw the lid on a campfire or hot coals and you can grill delicious steaks, sausages and what not.
